Let’s look at some numbers.

This is the number 2.

It’s the number of labs I worked at before I was asked if I wanted to resign in the wake of the idiotic shitstorm the media caused in their openly uninformed attempt to protect an asshole.

This is the number 1.

It’s the number of those labs which I decided to continue working for. Because I was working on a project to save people’s lives. And people’s lives are kind of important.

This is the number 0.

It’s the number of dollars per hour that I’ve been charging the robotics lab for my work after resigning from the other lab. I charged $0 because finding / hiring / getting new talent up to speed on the R&D we were doing is expensive and time consuming – and grant money is almost never assured. What was and is and will continue to be assured, is the importance of preventing people from dying. So I’d been working for free.

0 is also roughly the number of people who have died or been physically harmed as a result of doxxing for as far back as doxxing has ever even been a thing. 0 is therefore also roughly the statistically appropriate number of shits anyone ought to give about getting doxxed. It’s precisely the number of shits I gave after the strong stand you oh-so-empathetic netizens took against harassment by doxxing my parents. And you know why? Because 0 is precisely how many of my parents suffered physical injury or death as a result of that doxx.

You know what else is interesting about 0? After ten thousand years of human bullshit, it’s precisely the number of public figures who HAVEN’T gotten harassed as a result of being exposed as total assholes for taking advantage of the trust and support they’ve been granted. Suddenly though, the fact that a shithead is getting harassed is somehow BIG NEWS.

So big in fact, that 0 is also the number of major news outlets that HAVEN’T tried to make #GamerGate about harassment.

HOLY SHIT A TON OF PEOPLE ARE MAD AT A TOTAL ASSHOLE?!?! THAT’S FUCKING UNPRECEDENTED.

Do you know why harassment of this very particular asshole of a public figure suddenly became BIG NEWS?

I do.

I know exactly fucking why.

And I’d love to fucking tell you. BUT I’M NOT LEGALLY ALLOWED TO.

This is the number 70.

70 is the percent of surgery related deaths or injuries carried out by novice surgeons that would have been prevented en masse as a result of the R&D you just dropped into limbo.

You wanted to get to me by firing me from a job I was doing for free? Well congratulations. You’ve succeeded in getting to me. And you’ve done that by potentially killing a bunch of people because you couldn’t get your head out of your asshole for ten seconds to realize there are bigger fucking issues in the world than your opinion of my motivations for outing a shithead, you god damned fucking sociopath.

Here’s a tip though. next time you go to the ER, make really fucking sure the surgeon has grey hairs.

Or better yet. Don’t do that, and let that surgeon go work on someone who actually deserves to live.

In the meantime, if you don’t like me, fine. Boycott the shit I make. Spread a ton of bullshit to convince your friends to boycott the shit I make. Express outrage if ever a news outlet should ever say anything remotely representative of or sympathetic to my motivations. But do not fuck with critical medical research over your idiotic god damned opinion of the relative significance of some people being mean on the internet.
